What is a gabion?
The term ‘gabion’ refers to a modular containment system that enables rock, stone and nondegradable inert materials to be used as a construction material. More information available here.

What stone do you recommend?
The recommended stone type is 6G graded gabion stone. Find out more about stone requirements here.
Are you Construction Line approved?
We are currently a Construction Line Silver (level 2) member but we are working towards being a Gold (level 3) member. View our certificate.
What is your lead time?
Our current lead time is approximately 5-7 working days. This is subject to change and we recommend asking at the time of enquiry.
What is your life expectancy/design life of your gabion products?
The life expectancy/design life varies depending on the gabion specification. If you require a specific design life please ask our sales team during the enquiry stage or have a look at our specification sheets here.
What size gabion baskets do you offer?
We offer a wide range of gabion basket sizes due to manufacturing the baskets in-house. This is, however, dependant on whether you are looking for a welded or woven gabion.
What wire sizes do you offer?
We offer various wire sizes depending on the type of gabions required (welded or woven mesh).

What is a gabion mattress?
The purpose of the mattress is to reduce the water velocity of the stream as the depth increases so that, at the interface with the bed, the velocity is such that it will not displace the soil particles. Find out more here.
