In July for a development in Saffron Walden, Enviromesh was tasked with creating a reinforced soil slope that would not only be structurally sound but also aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. To achieve this, the company combined their E-Slope facing system with Solmax MiraGrid®, a high-performance geogrid reinforcement.
By utilising surplus site material, Enviromesh was able to reduce muck away while allowing gardens to be levelled rather than sloped. This not only saved time and resources but also contributed to a more sustainable development.
Our E-Slope system, featuring organic polymer-coated steel, provides exceptional durability and a lifespan of over 120 years. This ensures long-term stability and protection for the slope face.
One of the most impressive aspects of this project was the speed and efficiency of the installation process. Enviromesh’s unique manufacturing process, which involves overlapping helical and pin connections, allows for faster installation times compared to traditional methods. A team of just four people was able to install 150 square metres of the E-Slope system per week.
Now completed, the slope features a lush, green appearance, thanks to the grass vegetation that was seeded during construction. This creates a more natural backdrop for the properties behind, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the development.
