Derby Crematorium was a new development which will help meet the needs of the surrounding communities in terms of providing cremation and memorial services whilst protecting and enhancing biodiversity and the landscape character of the area.
The project proposals for a new crematorium offer the rare opportunity to create a well-considered and integrated building and landscape design scheme which builds upon the qualities of the existing site to create a pleasant, tranquil environment, individual in character and respectful of the needs of bereaved families and friends
Enviromesh were contacted by Clegg Construction to offer a full design, supply and installation package for the two post-supported walls on-site. The objectives for the gabion walls were to install two post-supported walls which totalled to 42m in length. The biggest challenge for this project was finding a stone which met the clients requests and the aesthetic they were looking for. This was solved by finding a Yorkshire Walling Stone which met the clients needs perfectly.
