Trapezoidal gabions are manufactured so that the front and/or rear panelsย can be inclined. The units are assembled such that the front, rear andย partitioning panels are fixed to the base.

To form the trapezoidal section, theย partitioning panel width is based on the top dimension of the gabion unit. Flapย panels may be supplied loose for fitting on-site or attached to the verticalsย during manufacture at their correct centres. When rotated to intersect theย partitioning panels and jointed with one of the assembly systems provided,ย this forms the positive connection and trapezoidal shape.

There are two standard options available for theย normal inclination of the rotated faces: the firstย being nine meshes vertically and either one orย two meshes horizontally; or a second option, 13ย meshes vertically and either one or two meshesย horizontally. Widths at the top and base panelsย must be in multiples of the 75mm mesh opening.

To close off the outermost facing ends of theย walls or to accommodate the 90ยฐ externalย corners, preformed trapezoidal end panels canย be supplied to ensure clean aesthetic joints, whichย are designed to suit the trapezoidal configuration.
